Following Labone Castleside’s 50th Anniversary fun day event in July, Liam, Asim and Adrian made up the delegation from the company to personally hand over the cheque for £285 raised. The money was handed over to the nurses of the unit who do such a wonderful job at the Treetops unit at University Hospital of North Durham.

The unit was one of the nominated charities chosen out of the suggestions we collected in the run-up to the Fun day, because of the essential work it undertakes for those children who have sometimes rare and debilitating medical conditions across Durham County.

The unit is a dedicated ward for children from birth up to the age of 16 years old and specialises in plastic and orthopaedic surgery, the ward also has a dedicated paediatric day surgery unit.

We hope the money raised will help benefit the patients on the Treetops ward in some way.
